Thermo Rules

  1. It’s all about the ratio. Way more ice than milk.
  2. Minimize air (use filler, like cloth napkins).
  3. Mix ice types. Chipped ice (in ziplock bags) + blocked ice
  4. Limit disruption (opening/closing, easy access, keeping whats inside inside)
  5. Freeze disassembled. Everything in individual parts and assemble before travel.
  6. Don’t add warm milk. It takes lots of energy to cool things down, the temperature will try to find a new equilibrium so adding a warm thing makes the whole thing a tiny tiny tiny bit warmer. Let milk come to room temp (or chill) before adding to a storage vessel.
